The Vaselines
Scottish purveyors of brilliant, scratchy guitar pop given new life thanks to a fan by the name of Kurt Cobain.
Formed in Scotland in 1986, the Vaselines basically revolved around the duo of Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee.
With the songs "Monster Pussy," "Sex Sux," and "Molly's Lips," it's fair to say the two were obsessed with sex.
The Vaselines broke up in 1988 and have gone down in music history as little more than a footnote.
The band's No. 1 fan was Nirvana's Kurt Cobain. Cobain often talked about the Vaselines in interviews.
