Young last wrote about the band in Rolling Stone in 1979, a feature that sparked a feud between Young and Eagles frontman Don Henley. The two finally made up last year, which opened the door for Young’s all-access look at the band for the current issue. Part of the strange history between Young and the Eagles includes a softball game that pitted the band and some roadies against a team of Rolling Stone staffers.
