Ska Revival groups, also known as "Second Wave" Ska artists, echoed the early Ska artists of the 1950s and '60s, and flourished in the U.K. in the late '70s and early '80s. Ska Revivalists like the Specials, the English Beat and Madness scored chart success in England while amassing cult audiences in the United States. Ska Revival groups played faster and tighter than their "First Wave" influences, and also incorporated elements of Punk's swagger and New Wave's dance grooves into the mix.
